Fujitsu T5010

Recently I purchased a Fujitsu T5010 Laptop-Tablet Hybrid from Fujitsu Canada for my wife as her old laptop had totally died a few weeks ago.
Initially, I had a lot of trouble actually pursuading Fujitsu to even sell me the laptop because I had ordered it while I was in Paris and they thought that was suspicious, especially since my credit card company initially refused to approve the transaction because I was…. in Paris!!
After a few phone calls to my bank and to Fujitsu, reason prevailed and they agreed to actually take my money. You would think in the current frenzied economic climate of doom that they would be grateful for every order they could get, but oh no!
After that initial issue, I have to say that Fujitsu did very well as they managed to ship it from Japan to Ontario in TWO days!
And I have to say that it is well worth the hassle, it is very light, very fast and the hand-writing recognition is superb.
I am so impressed I want one for myself!!
Unfortunately my Fujitsu P1510 still has a bit of life in it and I don’t need two laptops!! So, I can wait a while!
The new laptop is loaded with Vista Business SP1 and I was quite impressed at the improvements made to the interface as I had been quite sceptical about Vista. Of course, having a good processor and lots of RAM are a big help in running Vista properly.
My wife is pretty happy too as she is not a geek like I am!

Seasons’ Greetings

I do not believe in being politically correct so I am going to be blunt and wish all my readers HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!
I hope you all have a wonderful time and enjoy time away from work with family and friends!
I have returned to Canada where there is a lot of snow so this year we get to have a white Christmas which is always special!!
I will be returning to Europe in the New Year so this is a good time to catch up on a lot of things which I have been waiting to do.
Finally, I hope that everyone who has done me the honour of visiting this site has a prosperous New Year!
